Aim: Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder. The S100 calcium binding protein B (S100B) among the markers of astrocyte activation as well brain damage. Herein, it was aimed to evaluate S100B levels determine whether there relation with severity autism and establish possible causes different results studies in literature from psychiatric biochemical perspective. Material Methods: Twenty-five male children were included study group along twenty-seven control group. childhood rating scale behavior checklist applied. Serum measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: mean serum level 1008.61±171.34 pg/mL 1060.14±182.83 group, no statistically significant difference found between groups (p=0.300).
